This Week on Subliminal Matters

So I hope you're excited to see what I've been up to while I've been away. I have some fun ads to share but I must say to every single visitor thanks for coming back. SM is about to hit 5,000 visitors and I think that most certainly is a milestone. Thanks for the emails and I even had a few comments while I was away which was pretty cool. Although I haven't been posting I've most certainly been collecting and I am buzzing with excitement to share, hope you enjoy!

Look who's got a FAT YAK!

Quote: "Is there a fifth leg on that Fat Yak?"
-No need to mention who said that

Subliminal Mattersalcohol billboard no. 3, anatomy, legs, encouraged alcoholism in Australia, more binge drinking supplies...

LocationTaylor Square

Ad review: Well I'm sure the vegans won't be in love with this advertisement BUT, you have to admit that the blurred area...well...implications, implications. Who knew you could say so much without words?

There is a subliminal message in here though. The use of a yak is
key to the product indeed. Yaks are strong animals, they are sturdy but big and they are in the cattle family. Cows have been used subliminally in alcohol advertisements before for their symbolic relation to strength and comfort. Using the fat yak in relation to the beer would be achieving the same purpose. Now what I want to know is, is that a fifth leg? Seriously! I'll bet you a guy created this billboard advertisement!

Just for the record, this was the third and final billboard advertisement related to alcohol. You could pretty much see all three at the same time if you were standing at the major junction of Taylor Square.

So... I'm not sure how severe Australia's drinking problem actually is, but I am certain, that the alcohol industry is happy to hear the news! Over stimulation anyone?!
